i repurposed my old 2014 lenovo n42 chromebook with an intel celeron and installed mint on it, it works pretty fine, any ideas on what i should do now? if you guys want pictures let me know

As someone who has a laptop that can't even update and also doesn't even have a bootscreen, idk what you should do with it tho

Ha interesting, I had this terrible Windows 8.1 tablet running an Atom CPU also from around 2014.
It was a weird one that despite having a x64 bit capable CPU, the BIOS firmware was 32-bit only. It also only supported UEFI booting with no CSM option.

Basically only letting you boot Windows 8.X 32-bit and Windows 10 32-bit.
A guy on twitter mentioned that linux this whole time has let you use a 32-bit bootloader to load the full 64-bit linux in some hybrid mode.

I tested it out, and sure enough the damn thing actually worked and booted into a full 64-bit OS never intended for this device.
Combine it with WINE, and now this thing is actually usable. Due to the puny 2GB ram hard limit too, it performed a lot better than Windows 10 32-bit.
