I got it to run as you can see here, fiddled around with SmartSteamEmu a bit. I tried to build an application and to my surprise it actually worked. No errors. Opened the application and it works just fine. I also added an Active to the thing and it built the application, it was a success once again.
Note: I did delete everything related to the program in Regedit, Program Files/Data, etc. But yeah I got it working!

The previous tests were done with the SSELauncher, trying it without SSELauncher and instead opening with the SmartSteamEmu gives the same exact problem you were having when opening built applications. So, I can provide a working version but you need to launch it with the SSELauncher.

Because we can just use the loader as long as we set it up properly.

It could be a conflict if you had installed it on a different folder before
You can move the new version to where it was originally or delete the application settings in the registry:

If Clickteam Just Crashes on launch, delete The Firefly Extensions in the extensions folder. Somehow they made Clickteam won't Launch.
