Linux Enviornment Upgrades

I noticed something strange that always bothered me about Linux, it treats itself as if it's unlike windows, but then proceeds to do the things windows is known for doing.. Zorin OS is a prime example of this, it's Linux sure but it's so overcrowded with KDE elements that it's no better than windows, So I switched to Debian and that wasn't enough, I made it headless, understood how Xorg works, installed that, deleted everything I wasn't using, and built my way up.

I decided to use kitty as my terminal, Surf as my browser (Firefox sometimes) and altered the i3 desktop environment to fit my needs, and I gotta say I like this version of Linux a lot more than my previous ones, I feel less contrast to what I am offered, and I was able to make it 100% mine! I even have my own custom config files for specific programs, like custom key-binds, terminal, and even some custom games!

I might make a proper tutorial on how you could make any Linux distribution exactly like a base Arch install, I honestly do not like how a lot of Installations prepackage themselves with a UI that you never asked for, I'd rather instead build upon my existing kernel.

While I don't like the xfce4 debian defaults at all, if you learn debian it is probably the most supported distro on every niche handheld or hacked console. Plus the updates are extremely stable server wise.
Installing off a DVD rom can also be painful as you have you remove the dvd drive apt entry from sources.list manually too.

Heck when that whole PHP exploit thing happened, updating it was a breeze.
