Problems with Clickteam Fusion

I was working on a project of mine for days, and this morning it started showing some kind of extension error, but I don't know how to fix it. It's already installed in Fusion, but it says I need to install the UNICODE version, but I don't know where to get it. I have the extension file in the appropriate folder, but it's probably not the Unicode one. The funny thing is, I've been messing around with it for days and haven't found anything... Can anyone help me? Is there any way to modify this file I already have (kctaskpr.mfx). And yes, I've already got version r925.10 thanks to the creator of this site, and the project gives the same error in that version too... The problem is, I can't even VIEW it so I can create the project again from scratch... :((

It appears the kctaskpr.mfx extension used for your project is a different version of some kind. Maybe it updated and got all fucked up somehow? Clickteam used to stuff me around a lot so I always made backups of .MFA's and the software itself in portable format.

You could try downloading the Multimedia Fusion 2.0 from way back in 2012.

It includes an extension with the same name in the "mmf2.rar\More extentions\Extensions\kctaskpr.mfx" and "mmf2.rar\More extentions\data\runtime\kctaskpr.mfx"
Might be worth a try? maybe it's the unicode version?

I don't have problems with Fusion except for the annoying stand alone building issue with the anti virus false alarm.
Clickteam's marketing is another problem, they don't focus on fixing it with anymore patches and only they keep talking about the upcoming Fusion 3
I probably NOT going to buy ever lmao. ::verysad_cry::

Is your whole computer completely infected or something?
Why are all new executables getting flagged ::skull::, or are you talking about smartscreen?
(I mean, SmartScreen should just be off anyway, it's annoying having all non publisher stuff blocked)

Check Virustotal on some of your flagged .exe's, see if your computer is compromised because you should not be getting that many flags.

I know you are on windows 10 and you haven't seen how really terrible 11 is yet until you get there with their latest garbage updates even I didn't want to update anymore the idiot operating system kept forcing me to whether I like it or not. everyone else are lucky with better running systems because they are on older windows which I like to prefer over 11.

Im considering to switch back to 8 pretty soon but in the meantime I have to prepare for US since I'll be out of the country again without connection and only Im trying to take advantage of the remaining time I have while Im still online.

I need the internet that I currently have at the moment in order to store my files on Terabox my only means of storage with my files besides having a 256gb usb and a pny which holds more space but I am afraid they're not good enough so Terabox is my best choice and only the files I am keeping with me on usb are my activity for when I go offline soon. ::like::

Im just full of bad lucks here and there I guess. Even going Mac was a wrong move for me and did not expect that Windows 11 was going to be much worse than I expected. I had a better time with Windows 8 and xp though! Only my late father long time ago used to sneak into my old pc sometimes and infected it when I busted him taking my pc to dangerous sites I would NEVER go to. ::verysad_cry::

Another thing is Im no technical expert and I am not sure if I should blow my money on Geek Squad. I think the best option for me is to go ask Windows some questions on their forums for support!

Honestly if my pc was really infected I wouldn't be able to reply to you or getting on here by now. So I believe its Windows 11's own stupidity and not a actual virus since the last time I updated missed up Windows security I guess but I'll see once I asked why in the hell did Defender or the operating system won't let me disable it.

You can disable it, I've done it onto this very server hosting this website otherwise uploads break.

Last year at my tech job, there was a piece of malware that came from a ch341a BIOS chip programmer that came from github, that would replace new .exe files with some crap that would still run the original code.
Nobody at work knew this shit was going on until I stepped in and found some odd files in task manager with a fake explorer.exe and svchost.exe in the C:\Windows\System directory

Check your system anyways, defender should not be flagging this many files unless it's smartscreen detecting an unknown publisher (More info > Run anyway).
Which can easily be turned off.
